(2) Diary Entry

These days on the boat have been long and stressful , nights have been cold. I could hear people crying, babies crying , people praying , my parents telling me we will make it out alive. It all started when the boat began to break apart. One day a plane flew over. Everyone started waving their hands hoping that they would see us but they didn’t. We all lost hope until an elderly man said to make a sign S.O.S. I don’t think anyone knew what it meant but they still did it. Another plane went past this time they sent help to us. I was so happy.

(1) Diary Entry

I look to see a crowd of frightened people. Sound of people mumbling , shouting , engines starting , doors opening. As my parents hurriedly look through our stuff. I take a step into the bus feeling very nervous but at the same time annoyed that we are leaving the only place that truly felt like home.

Boy on a bike- Reading

This week in reading  me  and my classmates read a story named ‘Boy on a Bike.’ The story is about a boy name Mac that wanted to cycle the length of the North island with his Dad. He did this beacuse he wanted to raise money for St. Johns Ambulance so they can buy more ambulances. We wrote down what Mac researched before his ride and why it was important.
